Why Canine Companion Consulting?
With so many options and choices available, you might wonder what makes Canine Companion Consulting better than the other behavior consultants. The answer is quite simple. It is our:
Commitment
We have been training dogs, one human at a time using positive, science and research-based methods since 2007. This is not just what we do but who we are.
Credentials
Much of that commitment can also be seen in our credentials. We are constantly learning and advancing our skills by training ourselves. Not only have we attended many canine behavioral science conferences, both domestically and internationally, but we are also regularly attending seminars and research talks to learn and stay current on all of the fabulous science that is published almost daily. This is all in addition to the formal credentials we have through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Certification, Melania DeMartini’s Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer certification (CSAT), Elite Fear Free Certification and masters degrees in behavior and education. We take what we do very seriously while having fun doing it.
Core Values
All of this aligns with our core values of humane treatment of animals, continuous education for both humans and canines, and being present for those who seek help having a better relationship with their canine companion.
